First, you need to accept that you can be hypnotized. It has nothing to do with intelligence or willpower.
There is no specific feeling associated with being in hypnosis. Some clients may feel a tingling feeling, others feel very light or heavy. Occasionally, clients may feel a floating type of feeling. Don't expect to feel "hypnotized", but the feeling of being hypnotized is different for every person. It is not a feeling of being in a coma type state of mind.
The best way to explain the hypnotic trance is by comparing it to a day dream. You are totally aware of what is happening around you. Since the hypnotic trance is like a day dream, you can end the trance at any time.

As soon as you start to use your imagination, you are in a light state of hypnosis. Now you know that you have experienced the hypnotic state numerous times in your life.
